Cape Town Medical Group Financial Services (Pty) Ltd (CTMG) was formed in 1993 by mutual agreement between the UCT Health Sciences Faculty and Groote Schuur Hospital as a centralised facility for all billing done for private work performed by university and joint staff.

The directors are practitioners who fulfil their role for the benefit of the faculty, hospital and UCT Private Academic Hospital.

CTMG has since expanded its services, now offering these to the wider, private market.
